Truck Accident Kills Four In Stopped Traffic Near Lansing MI

On the evening of November 2, 2024 near Lansing, Michigan, the driver of a semi-truck did not heed the stopped traffic on I-96 and collided with several cars. The collision caused the semi-truck to erupt into flames, killing four and injuring 17 others. Three of the four people killed were traveling inside one vehicle, and the other had been ejected due to the force of the crash. The semi-truck driver, along with other motorists impacted by the crash, were transported to the hospital. The section of the interstate affected by the accident remains closed until the structural integrity of the overpass can be evaluated.
